Let's do a quick break-down: # Map01 Not much to say here, route is done easily. # Map02 This one caused a lot of restarts in the 2P run, less chaotic now though! We get to pull some efficient cleaning and the route is relatively easy to do. # Map03 This one had a couple of crazy shenanigans (chaingunner already in alert state after the first elevator). BFG cleaning does the job. The delay at the end of the map is only to equip to BFG so it's ready for Map04. # Map04 Two BFG blasts at the start, then wait. Route seems to be tricky for JCD but all in all, it goes smoothly. # Map05 Thanks invulnerability sphere for making this map a breeze. # Map06 Again I'm more of a gun than anything remotely useful here, hopefully I can help clean up the end spectres in case of a missed jump. # Map07 I'm the only one using the BFG here, thanks Nightmare! for the double ammo. # Map08 I position myself on the carpet in such a way that I prevent Baron spawns in the center area. I just get extra rockets and cells for Map09. # Map09 I'm a bit sad that the execution didn't go as smoothly as we have it planned. It's quite a show when done right. The two BFG blasts at the start offer pure Doom type satisfaction! # Map10 Initially, I would not use the BFG, but I quickly found out that it saves you a TON of health. I usually am not in a critical state here, but safety never hurts. I also only use one BFG shot instead of two near the Pinkies and Souls, sufficient to clear a path. # Map11 A simple map. At first it was difficult for me to successfully escape the Cacodemon pit due to being unable to land a BFG shot properly. # Map12 RUN. Sad I missed one of the switches resulting in several seconds lost. # Map13 Hello blue armor alcove, I have spent quite some time here! # Map14 Well, not much to add. Two BFG hits, let the others do the job. # Map15 Happy I came up with this route, as this map requires 4 tasks, 4 players was a blessing. My job was relavitely easy. # Map31 I got saw'd in the void, fuck that. # Map32 Missed my sneaky flick punch, bad demo is bad. # Map16 EZPZ Sigil sucks. # Map17 A tactical map with a very efficient route. Happy I scored a 2-hit kill on the CyberDemon. Silent BFG makes the run fully valid. # Map18 Nothing to say. Thanks Ch0wW for being a meatshield. # Map19 Had a couple of rocket scares there in training runs, it all went well though. # Map20 I had no IG music there, but Ch0wW and I like to do the "Arch-Vile Anthem" by "hmmm"ing at walls. # Map21 DID U NO DIS MAP IS REFERENS TO NIRVANA BAND AND KRUT COBIAN?§?§? # Map22 Had a very, VERY, hard time, finding a decent setup to clear the platform with minimal damage. This attempt went very well but unfortunately a couple of respawns hit me like a brick. # Map23 The chaingun works wonders to push back the Lost Souls! BFG is once again very useful to get rid of the demon horde. # Map24 Unfortunately, lag was a very problematic thing in runs causing S6kana to fall in the acid pit. Luckily the game ran smooth this time though! # Map25 BFG cleaning could use some work on my end, but went rather well. I was fairly low HP, but I easily recovered with S6kana clearing the green armor for me. # Map26 The almighty run killer. It's one of my favorite maps, but it's a real pain in Nightmare. We managed to get a solid strat that was somewhat relatively safe. As with our 2-player run, succeding this map grants you a valid run! # Map27 A bit of miscommunication in the end resulted in a not-so-clean ending. Pretty okay though! # Map28 A very forgiving map as there are MANY invulnurability spheres around. My task was basic cleanup that didn't require much BFG to use. A very simple map to go with. # Map29 Adrenaline pumping to the max. My main worries there were the elastic collision I got when climbing up to the Hell Knight. The other one being Ch0wW dying because he got hit quite a lot in the shotgunners' den. # Map30 Easy map, that's why they fucking did it and I didn't. Fun trivia fact time: I never actually beat Doom 2 solo. Also Ch0wW, careful around teleporters. *** Glad this one is done so I can get rest in the evening. World first ever Doom 2 Nightmare! 4 players coop run, there you have it. Got a feeling we'll keep this record for quite a few years. And no, you are your edgy friends on Zandronum do not count. [JCD] heh. So yeah, after like 400 tries, we finally beat map26 haha. I'm really proud of this accomplishment, but I'm angry about all of my little mistakes in that demo x) First off all I didn't make the glide map02, it's easier if you have another player near you to make the glide kinda guided ... but even with that I didn't make it, fuck this shit. The blue keygrab in map06 was one of the worst keygrab I made in my entire life. It was a real bullshit x) I expected to die at map13 cause I was 7 hp, but luckily I survived :D And I failed once the map29 jump at the end, it's not that bad but this is annoying :/ Other than that, the overrall run was nice. We made some mistakes like the map12 switches which were really slow. The start of map23 is slow too cause we were talking haha And we were scared of map30 that's why it was pretty slow too :) Nice job friends ! I hope we'll do more coop in the future :D [S6kana] Hey Nightmare! difficulty is funny when a full squad of doomguy run through doom 2 level ! Map 26 was a mess, lot of choke point, we needed a good rng on ennemies respawn for this part. The rest of the wad was not so hard, the longer stuff was routing all the map. In conclusion, coop with 4 players is a really good doom experience, you can troll your team mate with your pistol or chaingun when you get bored, or sometime you can look for some void glide in map 31 ;) [Ch0wW] So we finally made it. We are the first people in Da WoRLz who made a 4 players NM-Speed demo of DooM II. I'm feeling really proud of it, even if I was considering myself more or less as a "support" during the whole demo (exceptions made for MAP07 and MAP14). So, I'll just say : SCREW YOU, MAP26. You really were the bane of our existance. Other than that, I'll also say that the run by itself is really clean towards the end of Episode 2 and 3, that JCD, Oxyde and S6Kana are pure heroes, and that we had a huge dose of laughs, because we really needed it. ♥♥♥♥♥ Congrats again guys ♥♥♥♥♥ !
